King Silver Flair trumpet in New Orleans, Louisiana

The serial number indicates this was made between 1970 and 1975. King trumpets have been go-to instruments for professionals for decades. Most notably, Harry James used and endorsed King trumpets for his entire career. This particular brand of the Silver Flair was introduced in the mid-60s. This trumpet was the first production model of the Silver Flair, subtle changes were made to it in ensuing years. Most notably, the valve caps and bottoms identify the earliest Silver Flairs. Subsequent Silver Flairs have screw bottoms and screw tops on the valves. This horn plays beautifully and has very good compression. The first slide trigger is in perfect working condition. The valve action is smooth and lightning fast. It will need a repair to reattach the pinky finger hook.( See pictures.) I have NO CASE for this horn. I will provide a LEGENDS heavy-wall 5C mouthpiece and a new bottle of Holton valve oil. I have played this trumpet for years in New Orleans, on riverboats, Super Bowls,  convention events, and jazz clubs. It is sturdy, dependable and never let me down. Any reputable music store repair shop can simply and easily reattach the pinky hook. Happy bidding and good luck!On Jul-27-23 at 13:51:41 PDT, seller added the following information:Pay pal only
